WaMu 4.25% Savings & Checking Account
The Washington Mutual 4.25% Online Checking & Savings Account is one of the hottest products of the year. This is a high yield interest online savings account that offers features unmatched by other Internet banks.
For instance, you can withdraw your money at any WaMu ATM for free. Another perk is that there is only a $1 minimum balance to open an account. In addition, the debit card that comes with the account pays cash back.
Also, since this is a checking account, it comes with the usual FREE checks for life. In many ways, the WaMu online savings account is way better than what they offer in the brick & mortar bank, because if you open the account at your local branch, you definitely don’t get the *Internet Only* interest rate.

How long is the 5 % rate good for?
Please send me more info about internet only 4.25 rate and how to apply.
I am looking to invest $100,000 in a high yeild CD or savings account. The title of the account would be that of a pension plan, my company;s paln, to be exact “Charles b. Schwed Employees Pension Trust”.
1. Can you accept pension funds?
2. I am looking at the 4.25% rate you list on your website.
Can you give me more details on that, including forms to
open an account?
3. What, if any, additional documentation would you require?
I can’t figure out how you get the 4.25% savings & checking rate. It just looks like 3.3% to me?
Hello,
I need more information about your 4.25% CD.
thank you,
Sandra Salmeron
I do not understand this 4.25% checking and savings account that is offered by WaMu. There seems to be a conflict in your ad - one place says 3.3% and then it states 4.25% Which is it and how does it work? What are the restrictions?
Is the WaMu 4.25% savings rate current as of June 3, 2008? What is your phone number? Thanks.
Hello,
I see you advertising the 4.25% interest rate, but when I go to apply you reduce it to 3.30 %..I don’t see the intial offering of 4.25 %. Please explain how I get the 4.25% interest rate..
Thank You,
Steve Washington
Hi,
I’ve been into the WaMu branch and they tell me that the rates on line are the same as at their branch, but that doens’t seem to be true…they aren’t paying the 4.25% you have advertised here. Please explain.
Thanks
